My system is running, finally. There is now one problem with this otherwise great setup. Every once in a while my keyboard stops responding. For example, while playing GTA 3, once in a while the keyboard just stops responding and the car keeps accelerating. Windows is still stable and my USB mouse still works, but the keyboard is dead. I restart and everything is fine, is their a problem with my PS2 port (I AM NOT RMA'ing ANYTHING) and can I just purchase a USB keyboard to fix the problem. Thanks

Which version of Windows are you using?

If you are using XP, there is a sometime a conflict with the StickyKeys feature under "Accessibilty". The feature activates whenever a certain key is held down for 5 seconds... if you are accelerating for more than 5 seconds by holding the key down, this could trip the Accessibility feature.

If you are not using XP, then this was useless, and I will owe you your 10 seconds of time back :)

Make sure it's in the correct PS/2 port (it's the left one when you look at it from behind, or the lower one if you have a desktop).
Did you ever plug it - unplug it when the computer was powered on? If so, you may have shot the PS/2 port.
< rant > I hate how finacky those things are, I once shot a motherboard umplugging a keyboard while the computer was running < /rant >

A USB keyboard should work flawlessly.
