My boyfriend and I are building a new computer for him, we have everything put together but the keyboard will not work.

When we boot the computer up, there seems to be power going to everything initially, and the keyboard and mouse lights will blink, but after we get to the motherboard boot screen they seem to turn off and we are unable to select any of the options. The keyboard does work fine on other computers...

Any help would be appreciated!

Okay, we swapped out the memory and it seems to be working so far, keeping my fingers crossed that that was the only problem...

Start / Control Panel / System / Hardware Tab / Device Manager button

click on "Keyboards" to expand it, then right click once on the word Keyboard under Keyboards.

Update driver / install the software automatically
