Keyboard + Mouse Tray

There's gotta be something out there like this? I must not be searching for the right words.

What I want is something that allows me to rest my keyboard on my lap w/ an attachment so I can use my mouse. I figure this would be cheaper than buying one of those keyboards that have a "mouse-like" attachment built-in.

I already have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and would like to keep using them for my media-center.

Yup, exactly, the only thing is that it needs to have "room" to be able to use a mouse. I've seen plenty of products for laptops to place on your lap but not really anything that has an "extra" space for a mouse.

I resorted to buying a plank of red oak from Home depot and sanding it down to a polish and finishing it

Haha...I was just there and thought of the same damn thing...even possibly a nice piece of "shelf" from there.
