keyboard/mouse switch suggestions

I am getting a new computer and have limited space. I'm interested in keyboard and mouse switches (to run two computers from the same mouse, keyboard, and monitor). What do you recommend? I have seen the Belkin ones, but $150 is a bit out of my price range (hoping for under $50). My monitor already has built in support for two computers, so that is not a requirement.

Well, the monitor is really what counts, b/c if you get a crappy switch it will cause interference and image quality loss (i have a switch which does this at high res/refresh rates). So.. just go ahead and use your monitor's built in switching and buy a crappy manual $15 switch for your keyboard and mouse. In fact.. i have one that you can have for $15 shipped. Email me if you want to buy it.

What is the brand and model? Does it actively send signals to both computers so that they don't think the keyboard or mouse are disconnected?

No, it doesn't send active connections, you just need to make sure that while it boots and windows loads that the switch is on the correct PC.

Its generic.
