keyboard errors when PC boots

I have used 2 dif. keyboard both of which I know work. I have a dual boot between windows 7 and xp and I cant choose or do anything on the black screens, including if I pressed f12 to pick a boot device, etc. However the keyboard works fine in the actual bios page and everywhere else...just not the black dos-like screens before start up. How do I fix this?

Set the BIOS setting for halt on errors to NONE

I don't have a choice of none..only All errors, no errors..etc. I tried no errors but that didn't work.

editroblem solved. Had to enable usb keyboard under some advanced setting.
