Keyboard dead??

Just got back to my computer after not using it for about 3 hours. Well, I type and nothing shows. I have a MS wireless multimedia keyboard 1.0At (this is a set that comes with a mouse and the mouse is working). I already tried the following:

Restared the PC
Disconnected and reconnected the plug
Uninstalled, reinstall the drivers
Tried reconnecting the keyboard to the optical reciever many times


help!?
 
OK, here's maybe a dumb question but did you check the batteries in the keyboard? I assume it has one or two since all the Logitech cordless keyboards I've ever had take batteries. They do last a while but I do have to change them every couple years. My Logitech takes 2 AA batteries. Do you have another computer you can check your wireless setup to?
