Keyboard Connection Not Working

I'm upgrading a bunch of 486's. I swapped out a mobo and now the keyboard isn't responding. I tried 3 different keyboards so I know that's not the issue.

Everything was fine when the mobo was in another system. The keyboard responded when I first booted the system with only RAM, CPU and video card on the board.

I installed 2 small hard drives and booted ... no keyboard. I'm on a deadline and time is running out. Does anyone have any ideas?

I set up the board outside the case with just the vid card, RAM and CPU. Keyboard works! I'm going to re-assemble and see what happens. (I may meet my deadline yet!)

Here's a wild shot - try resetting the BIOS using the jumper on the motherboard. That can sometimes fix the strangest problems.

Good luck!

Problem solved. I must have put the mobo in wrong the first time. Something was making contact that shouldn't have (or vice versa). At any rate, I'm back on track. Thanks for the suggestion, Workin'!
