Keyboard commands "sticking" in Half Life 2

Trying to play HL2:Ep2 with a Logitech cordless keyboard and a cordless Logitech MX1000 mouse.

In game, when you press keyboard keys like W to go forward, the key "sticks" and continues to be sent to the game after you've let go. All controls also become locked and you can't move the mouse or press other keys for some amount of time.

I've tried moving the wireless receivers all over the place, changed channels, etc. I think I've ruled out it being wireless related. In Windows both the mouse and keyboard work flawlessly.


Any ideas?

have you tried a wired keyboard and wired mouse? Until then, you haven't ruled out wireless related problems. The wireless may not be updating at a rate that the game is expecting causing problems. Within Windows, you are not taxing the system as much as a game would.
