actually, opaque to transparent is just one of about 20 different
ways to change color & texture, in 3D animation programs.
in 3D Max i can create keyframes for transparency and color,
so a single object can gradually (or instantly) change some
aspects of its appearance.
i'm trying to get this working in Maya and flailing away doing
what people do to create keys controlling motion. using "auto"
key, or "s".
i found a way to create color-texture keyframes using Multi-lister.
are there any other ways to do it ?
