Interesting how you conveniently leave out this quote from George Elliot in the Boston Globe article:

''I simply have no reason for these guys to be lying, and if they are lying in concert, it is one hell of a conspiracy. So, on the basis of all of the information that has come out, I have chosen to believe the other men."

Interesting how you conveniently leave out how the article concluded:

Those questioning Kerry's medals, Rassmann said, are ''angry about John speaking out against the [Vietnam] war."

I didn't "leave" anything out of the article. I pasted everything from the first page of the article with the word "continue" clearly readable at the bottom denoting that the remaining two pages can be found by clicking the link.

That was a valiant attempt at projecting your finely honed cherry picking skills, as well as avoiding the topic at hand, on to someone else, though

well this just goes to show how low republicans will go. i'm sorry, but the fact that this guy is retracting ANY part of his statements throws this entire accusation out the window.

How is highlighting a quote from George Elliot off-topic? I'm just "continuing".

Mr. Thurlow on Senator Kerry's Bronze Star.

"As for the first, more fundamental objection to the convention video, Thurlow says that Kerry's version of the events of March 13, 1969, is simply wrong. "His story is a total fabrication," Thurlow says. One of the Swift Boats did hit a mine that day, Thurlow says, but much of the rest of Kerry's story is inaccurate. "This thing about being under intense enemy fire is a falsehood...There was no fire off either bank [of the river]. This thing about getting Jim out of the river under a hail of bullets with these serious injuries is totally fabricated."

"We fired our weapons onto the bank to suppress any chance that there might be snipers that might try to pick off guys in the chaos," Thurlow says. "But I don't remember any fire from the banks." Thurlow also says he saw Kerry briefly toward the end of the day, and "he wasn't bleeding, and he wasn't hurt." "

When Mr. Thurlow won his Bronze Star.

"Kerry and the other wounded men received medical attention aboard a Coast Guard cutter, which was the closest ship capable of treating them. Along with a third Purple Heart for the injury to his right arm, Kerry was also awarded a Bronze Star for his bravery, as was Larry Thurlow."

Wonder if Mr. THurlow will return his Bronze Star?

Does anyone have the this guys full text and not the edited version? I heard that another interview misconstrudes what he was trying to get accross.

After Editing and misquoting Kerry about his "More thoughtful and Sensitive war on terror"

I'm not saying this isn't right I'm just partial to the truth.
