Ketchup on pizza

I tried using Ketchup instead of Tomato Sauce(only had ketchup) when I was younger. It was OKish, but I never did it again as it wasn't the same even though I added Oregano and other Pizza Sauce ingredients to it.

I successfully made a BBQ sauce using Ketchup once though. Turned out well, but these days I just buy BBQ sauce if that's what I want.

my gf does this on her pizza...she says it tastes SO much better. personally, i dont think so. i like it just the way it is, and if i ever need to add anything on it, it'll be crushed red pepper and/or MAYBE extra cheese.

No, that should've been Jshmuck's lolcat poll, but even there you had almost a dozen people who were out of their fucking mind thinking it was anything but fail.

I've been known to use ketchup now and then with Digiorno frozen pizza along with some shredded cheese. Lately it seems like they're skimping on the sauce and using more dough, which makes for a really dry and less tasty pizza.

i've never seen anyone put ketchup on pizza but i've made pizza using ketchup when i run out of pizza sauce. tastes the same.

Ugh - when I was in Poland I had a pizza with ketchup on it; it was awful. I had been walking through Auschwitz all day, in the middle of March, and there was lots of snow. I was SO hungry when I got back to the train station, and was pumped to see a restaurant in the station that served pizza. But then it came, covered in ketchup, and I couldn't even finish it. Ketchup on pizza ftl

never seen it done before, but I have mixed ketchup with some tomato/spaghetti/pizza sauce to place on top of the pizza before cooking.....

Why do some people always have ketchup with their pizza? Pizza already has a layer of sauce on it which tastes pretty similar.

I asked a WHY question, and yet you responded with no three times in succession. Fascinating.

The only way I could see that making it taste better to anyone is if they need something to bland it up a little bit.

What kind of pizza sauce are you using that it tastes the same as ketchup?
