condemmed by faint praise

"both sides of the political aisle are scratching their heads over Kerry's phenomenal success in primaries and caucuses across the nation. ??They don't know John Kerry like we know John Kerry,''

??He's like vanilla toast. There's nothing exciting about him.''

"some Massachusetts residents are surprised, even dumbfounded, that Kerry is well down the road toward becoming the Democratic Party's national standard-bearer"

"Arline Isaacson of the Massachusetts Gay and Lesbian Political Caucus acknowledges that Kerry does have a reputation for waffling, on everything from Iraq to gay marriage."

"Kerry has long lived with another reputation: for being a snob. Born into wealth and privilege, Kerry has appeared to many as stiff around regular folks and more at home with the likes of his neighbors in Louisburg Square, the toniest section of Beacon Hill."

We gotta solve the Bush problem first. If there is a problem with Kerry we'll solve it later.
I think the very fact that he is a Democrat means that the Congress won't allow him to make as many blunders as Bush has made. We need to restore an effective system of checks and balances, and the only way to do it at this time is to have split government.

Why is everyone so surprised? This was the best the Democratic Party can do. Unfortunately, we (Democrats) won't have a real shot at the White House until 2008 when some of the centrists enter the fray.

Oh man is this true? When did hell freeze over and pigs fly? Is this a change of heart thing, or trying to advance the conservative agenda thing? Really, Dari we must know? :)

Dari is a neocon who didn't switch parties. Odd, because most neocons switched well over 30 years ago and I would think Dari was just a gleam in his parents' eyes back then. ;)

Pfft... The only "neocons" that "switched" parties were the Klan members from the South who were pissed when the Democratic party embraced the Civil Rights movement (or did you not know that the entire south used to vote almost exclusively Democrat until the 1960s?). Those Southerners joined with the McCarthyists from Lincoln's party in the North, and eventually the "neoconservative" (actually new-age Democratic Fascist) was born, based on a mutual hatred of both blacks and communists.
Point is, Dari's profile says he's a Yankee, and he's always full of sh!t. He's no Democrat and never was. I can't believe anyone actually fell for his weak troll.
