Hillary wont ever be presidnet..period...not in your or m lifetime.
As much as we say a woman or minority can do it, they wont.

people SAY they want to vote that way but then they dont..
HIllary is a crook, a liberal hippy, she has done nothing for this country or her constiuients, she rode her husbands back to office and the presidency would be something she could put on her resume not something she would work at.

Down to 5 choices

May 11 (Bloomberg) -- Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry is focusing on five potential running mates, including former party nomination rivals Senator John Edwards and retired General Wesley Clark, according to campaign and party officials familiar with the selection process. The others under consideration are Representative Richard Gephardt of St. Louis, Senator Bob Graham of Florida -- both of whom also made bids for the Democratic nomination -- and Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack, the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said. Kerry won't name his choice until next month, the officials said.

I hope Kerry picks Edwards. From everyone I have spoken to, even republicans respect Edwards and he is just a likeable honest looking guy that knows what it is like to be down in the dumps. Every poll I have seen thus far shows Kerry leading polls by as much as 8 to 10 points if he picked Edwards as his VP. I think Edwards could really help to create more manufacturing jobs in the U.S. . And doesn't Edwards remind you of JFK? Young, good looking guy, very charismatic, could capture the female vote and very family oriented...

He'd be a great pick, I personally think Bush would be doomed if Kerry picked Edwards.

Then again if Kerry picked Clark, I bet Bush couldn't argue he would be weak on defense knowing that Clark is former Supreme Commander of NATO.

If he picks Hillary, I will not vote.

Good grief, I can't stand Kerry as it is. I'm going into the voting booth wearing the biggest clothespin I can find firmly attached to my nose when I vote for Kerry. Add the Wicked Witch of the West Wing to the ticket and most folks would sleep in.

I would.

Are there going to be pictures of that? :D Come on - it'd be great comedy. You might even make it onto some of the latenight comedy shows of the daily show :D

Great laughs:D

Interesting choice if he does. It brings Bill back into the Whitehouse and hopefully the country will finally get out of it's current mess (Vietnam-like war, record budget deficits, record trade deficit, record National debt that our children will be paying off, record...etc)

I am sure Rush et al would LOVE to have Ms Clinton to be their whipping girl. But I doubt that Kerry would chose her. She brings too much baggage. I am willing to bet that he choses someone from the midwest or the south like Gephardt or Edwards.

I think Gephardt would be considered damaged goods. He's considered a traitor by too many Democrats for some of his stances that were with Bush. It would probably alienate too much of the base. Besides, outside of Missouri, I don't think Gephardt really has much sway or real recognition.

As far as many of the other possibilities mentioned, there really aren't very many choices. Someone like Dean that actually has some passion and will show it would help Kerry out some. On the other hand, it would probably hurt him worse since Kerry would be overshadowed by his running mate.

I don't have any names that come to the top of my head, but his running mate will have to be someone that is generally quiet and doesn't mind standing back. In other words, he would have to be an anchor that sits there, looks good and has a solid reputation. I don't see very many of the old candidates that fit the bill for this. I find it unlikely that he will pick someone that has already tried running for president. My money would be on a somewhat "moderate" governor from a somewhat large/powerful state.

Vote Kerry 2004

The most diabolic alliance that could form against bush, but not for votes, is Clark/Kerry. For the votes, its Edwards/Kerry.

Kerry and Clark.. Bush I think could argue and lose that Kerry would be weak on defense if Clark had the ticket..

But yes I totally agree, for the votes and I hope its Kerry and Edwards, Edwards is an awesome guy.

Anyway, Edwards would make my wife happy. I could live with Clark. Graham is also a good choice, but not Gebhardt.

If Edwards - I will vote for Kerry. Edwards is charismatic enough to help the ticket.
If Richardson - Another good choice, but probably won't happen.
If Clark - The NeoCons will work overtime to turn his military experience against him, just like they did with Kerry. And the bad thing is a great deal of the goobers here will believe them.
If Gephardt - I will still vote for Kerry, but I will not admit it to any of my friends. I don't think Kerry is electable with Gephardt.
If Graham - Another bad choice. Don't know on this one.

He's a tool.

Would you vote for Bush because Kerry chose Gephardt for his VP?

Considering Rice and Rumsfeld will most likely be gone, possibly. I have 0.000 respect for Gephardt. He played a puppet to Gore in the 2000 election along with Daschle.

Welcome to American Politics...where have you been?

I agree with FallenHero...the team to win it is Kerry/Edwards. Although I think the team that would do the better job once in there is Kerry/Clark. But this is a popularity contest, not a job interview.

And people wonder why they don't seem to think there any good choices out there. With attitudes like this, what do you expect.
