I just got out of the car having listening to the radio where I heard Obama's new Dept. of Energy head, introduced as a scientific rock star, and 1998 Nobel Prize winner say that the American people have no idea about the nature of threat we face from carbon warming, and if they did, they would act to do something.
There exists a kind of moron who believes that truth is consensual, that what you think in your head is reality. These fools think that truth is political, that what folk on the left or the right think is what is right or wrong, depending. Such morons are not persuaded by scientific evidence or fact of any real kind. They identify with whatever truth they believe and become inflexibly fixed thereby.
Cady is just such an example when he tells us global warming is a farce in the face of the scientific consensus that we face real threat now already visible in the world. Such head-up-their-ass types are a threat to humanity. Because they have attached their egos to this or that vagary of political position, paying to scrub carbon polluting is antithetical to Republican business, and have identified and claim to have 'conservative values' they would rather see the world die than suffer the deflation of loss of face resulting from being wrong. Don't get me wrong. They ARE wrong, but that is not the issue. They are OK in their own minds, so long as they their maintain denial.
So here we have a thread by one of these fools, who just suffered a drive by shooting, as it were. A person he has been trained to dislike, by the same stupid ego identification, somebody named Kerry, and who has heard him utter words that threaten his identification.
