Yes and interconnected does still contain the term INTER, you figure it out.

Are you kidding me?

Interconnected has nothing to do with international in any form.

Seriously, the first advancements of the Internet were used by interconnecting different bbs's, nothing you would know about though.

Wrong.

That may be the first part that YOU saw.

You must be overly dense, using the 900baud modem to download games in 83 had nothing to do with the WWW, YOU don't seem to understand how it worked back in the day.

Of course it has something to do with the WWW - they're both on the internet.

Read up on this subject.

How can the Morris worm, an internet worm, predate the internet itself?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morris_worm

First of all, the beginning of the Internet had nothing to do with the WWW as it didn't even exist at that time, you can try to twist that to suit your agenda, i have realized that one must be very careful of the choice of words with you.

You do not seem to understand the differance between a network and an interconnected network, a network that is open to the world versus a local network, so you can pull whatever definitions you want out of your ass, they won't help you much when you are discussing this with someone who has been connected since 83.

And i find this discussion boring, so i will leave you to yourself.

I find it ironic that Klixxer, who claims to be an expert on the Internet, cannot do a simple search to find out the origins of the Internet and the differences between the Internet and the WWW.

I find it ironic that a mod found my sig about your exact quote offensive but didn't tell you about your quote, i find it equally ironic that no mod told you about your sig.

But since you always get away with all the namecalling and BS i guess it is not so strange, is it?

IDIOT!

You are so fvcking dense, interconnection means connections between countris, inter in itself is a word, you figrue that out for youself.

No it does not. You are showing a poor grasp of the English language.

Interconnection: To be connected with each other

It can be with two buildings, two computers, two roads, etc. Not only two countries.

*sigh*

It is the same stupid thing with EVERY n00b.

A 'n00b' would say that the internet is named the internet because it is international. Ridiculous.

No offense, but read the links that I provided for you.

Oh christ, check out the definition for inter, interconnected means WHAT?

I've stated that the entire time. I said that in the beginning.

This is ridiculous. You are one with making outlandish claims, saying that the Internet is named the Internet because it is international, etc.

Do you have one single credible link for your information?

Read this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet

Is this another case where everyone is wrong, the dictionary is wrong, an encylopedia is wrong, millions of websites on the internet are wrong, but you alone is right?

The definition of inter can mean many things, for example: between, among

The dictionary definition of interconnected is: To be connected with each other

It has NOTHING to do with exclusively being about internationalism. Are you saying that you are right and the dictionary is wrong again?

Bye.

You should seriously leave.

No offense, but your understanding of simple definitions and lack of knowledge in this area is ridiculous.

I suggest you read the following page to educate yourself further on this matter: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet

If you choose to respond, please address the FACTS posted there.

Eh, no, the first case of the internet was INTERNATIONAL hence INTERnet, created in GB, ARPANet was duo national until BT got it going.

I know that there is a difference, hell, i sat at home with my 900baud high speed modem downloading games for my c64, which took ages and every minute was expensive, i bet it was as expensive as buying the game but hell, it was NEW TECH, i had to use it.

This entire post is sig material! "Internet for Dummies" or a kid's book would be useful for you.

we all knew that something was wrong when you renamed fried potatoes and toast but this is truly insane

you guys took over the pole position from Italy that has the same soap-opera issues during election years

congrats and free  for everyone

Regarding your sig, i wonder if Alistar7 know who REALLY is the inventor of the internet and where he comes from. 😉

I really miss poor Ali. After a while it got kind of painful to see his arguments come crashing down around him one by one. And when he had nothing left, when all his arguments had been refuted, poor Ali, in true P&N Republican fashion, turned and rode off into the sunset never to be heard from again.

Hang on, i will just be a few minutes to prove that BT did in fact invent the internet, i just want a link you guys cannot dismiss because it is from a British source, i know how it goes.

Let's get back on topic...

All Kerry said was "I will aide the state." It's nothing to French-bash for. It's relatively simple French. Now my aunt, she teaches AP Spanish, and she saus that everytime Bush speaks Spanish, she almost dies from laughter. I'd rather a president who can speak English well and French passingly then a president who can only speak two languages passingly...
