I bought a Kenton MS1720GL Laser Gaming Mouse and got a little CD for my gaming mouse config. The problem I am experiencing is that that software doesn't find the mouse "WARNING - No mouse detected!" I search the web for multiple webpages and I didn't find any answers only the same problem with all kinds of gaming mice and there isn't a lot of threads that's been posted by Kenton. There is a "?" Next to the "X" at the top left, but that isn't working as well, so I went to the support page of Kenton and I couldn't find any results PLEASE help.

P.S. The mouse works fine, there's only a problem with the software to edit the buttons and lighting.

Does the CD specify a specific OS like XP, Vista, and 7 and you have 8 installed?
If so, right click and select Properties, Compatibility, then Run Program as ....

Yes the mouse is working and the only thing on the CD is Kenton Gaming Laser USB 6000 DPI and that's. I also did try ALL the ports and installed it multiple times. Same result, NOT working. I have windows 8 64 bit. When I open the CD the's 2 drivers "Driver" and "Driver 64". I did run Driver 64 as admin.. and.. nothing...still same result.

Have you tried downloading the drivers from the web?

Well I tried to search Kenton Gaming Mouse drivers, but can you maybe give me the file name/category. Please and thanks for replies.

I tried a google search to find their mfr website, but best I could find was koloksa.co.za but it's on our company blacklist (according to the 404 error). Have you tried to run the files in compatibility mode?

Isn't there an other software where I can change my mouse config, like disable some buttons, or change there action. I assume that there won't be another program that will let me change the color of the mouse?

PLEASE and thanks.

Well I did that steps and after I tried all the options it said the the program is incompatible. This morning I also saw that at the back of the box it says that it's compatible with Win2K/2003/XP/Win7 IBM and PC, but I am using Win8, now isn't there ANY way to run this on my Win8 x64?

Please help.

Hmm, do you also set it to run with administrative privelages? It's in the same area with setting it to Win7 or XP mode.

Where did you buy it from? Sites like Newegg have links on the product page that go to the manufacturer. You may be able to contact them for more information that way.

I'm just about out of ideas. Last one would be regarding the compatibility, did you only try 7, or did you also try 8?

You'll probably need the manufacturer specific software to change the lighting. However, some generic tools like X-Mouse might help you out with the button mappings.
