75 shows and only 2.5 million to show for it? Jeopardy is such a cheap show compared to others now-a-days.

It has to be cheaper because it's easier to win - instead of you vs. the game, it's you vs. soemone else. Somebody always has to win.

So you mean to tell me that after the hiatus, they already taped another 35 episodes ??
I kow I tape like 3 episodes a day but didn't filming just resumed ??
Smell fishy to me.

I'm thinking that it has gotten so big that they would try everything to keep this a secret.
Like making the contestant sign an agreement and not even have an audience.

Put $1m into 10 year IB, which might double after it matures.
Then live on the $1.5m, buy a house and living expenses.
He doesn't have to work, ever.

Isn't he giving like 15% of the winnings to the Mormon church?

Don't know how many of you are Mormon, but all the ones I've known kinda creep me out.

thats a good point, but i think filming resumed awhile ago and they are now airing them(jeopardys been re-runs for the last month). i think they do something like 4 shows a day and if they started filming them and airing them the same day(sept 6th) then no way is this true. most likely they started filming last month, took time to edit, and now air them for the new season, which started monday.

either way, i wont believe it until i see it.

How many times have they given away the million? Most of the time people end up with $32k-$125k

With the win taped yesterday, I thought he was at $1.33 million, unless that was the show aired yesterday. If that's true, I highly doubt he won 1.2 million more today.

Read again. These aren't taped and shown the same day. This episode will be his 75th appearance and will air at the end of October ;)

He'll come back for Tournament of Champions though, right?

If there is another one. Considering they don't have a measurement tool (maximum wins) to determine a champion anymore.
