there will be a video cap on the interweb in under one day...all i have to say is wow. it brought a tear to my eye.

it was the Malmaedy massacre where SS soldiers executed 84 american soliders. tuesday, oreilly said it was the other way around and the US had actually captured and executed the SS. fair enough, he could have made a simple mistake. Fox then editted the transcript to take out Oreilly's whole analogy of how we executed them and replaced it with "normandy" instead of "malmaedy." Then wednesday, they air a letter from a fan pointing out oreilly got it wrong. Oreilly then not only not apologizes he says he was talking about something else........ What followed was the best "insert vulgar verb here" I have ever seen. it brought a tear to my eye.

let me break this down, oreilly is a over-confidenced dumb as5 and olbermann is living off from his stupidity. at the end of the day, u have dumber and dumb.

how's olbermann dumb for cashing in on a dumbass's stupidity? seems like the easiest way to make some coin, if you ask me. how hard could it be to cash in on someone who makes a fool of himself daily on national tv and radio talk show? you'd have too much material to know what to do with... if you can pick and choose from a few of the many where o'reilly makes a dumbass statement or contradicts himself or lies and cash in on them, what's wrong with that?

While I hate Oreilly for the pompus A$$ he is - Olberman just looks like a jealous kid telling on another kid to get him in trouble.

the ratings for both shows support your statement

Ironically, the only reason Countdown gets ratings is because of the daily "Bash Bill" segments

ratings don't show support.they are merely show is the marketability of that show during that hour on that channel. look at family guy. it got piss poor "ratings," went under, strong DVD sales, came back. ratings are purely arbitrary and mean little to nothing to the average consumer.

EDIT: btw, are the "bash bill" segments unwarranted? is it not necessary to point out the sheer pompousness of a man who manages over 1million viewers. shouldn't it be noteworthy that what he says, sometimes, are no more than slanderous lies. shouldn't it be pointed out that he's a scumbag who verbally harasses guests and female secretaries? is it really supposed to go unnoticed that oreilly is nothing more than a lying, chauvenistic, slanderous, hypocritical, pompous, vulgar son of a bitch? are we supposed to be complacent because he has "the highest ratings" that you seem to value so much?

Easy, tiger. Glad you compare Countdown to family guy, because they're both full of cartoony fiction comedy. Let me know when Krazy Keith gets a DVD out of Countdown once the series gets cancelled (and it will get cancelled if the lackluster ratings continue). Let alone selling enough of the DVD's to warrant a comeback.

It's bad enough that Olby can't get the viewers he needs for that fecal show, the only thing keeping the show afloat are the spittle and rage induced, hate filled tripe towards Billy boy. People want to see that vein bust out of his forehead in his daily anti-bill diatribe, so they tune in.

Make no mistake, Bill O'Reilly did a bad thing. Maybe if someone more respectable were to take notice of this incident, more people would take notice. That's your job. You need to get the word out to a news anchor that people actually watch.

Keep me updated of your progress.

Godspeed.

o'reilly probably didn't think anyone would notice because his audience are a bunch of idiots and drones anyway.

I like bills' show but lately he's getting too old...
Gets pissed easily and starts to fumble words...

I absolutely hate Olberman's show. This dude is a leech. He has no fame of his own and so mentions bill all the time to get people to watch. I doubt Bill's intention in the segment is to defame dead vets. That is Olberman's own mistake.

Quote from www.billorielly.com:

After German SS troops massacred 86 American soldiers at Malmedy in Belgium on December 17th, 1944, some units like the US 11th Armored Division took revenge on captured German soldiers. In the Pacific, relatively few Japanese prisoners were taken in the brutal island fights. But the folks back home never heard about those things or what techniques were used to interrogate prisoners who might know where the next ambush would be. The American military did what they had to do in order to win. As General Patton once said to his army: "I do not advocate standing Germans up against the wall and shooting them ... so shoot the sons of bitches before you get them to the wall."

Maybe somebody posted this... this is what Bill was thinking. (at least he got the facts straight last year)
Anyway, I am a conservative but I can only take so much Rush/O'Reilly/Hannity... these guys tend to be ego maniacs.

It still saddens me that so much of America watches Fox News thinking it is actual news.

You can say the same thing about CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. It is Newstainment now and is all about driving ratings. To hell with actual real news about actual real events with actual honest coverage.

But are these guys real conservatives in the first place? I used to listen to Rush, Hannity, Savage etc. I am no conservative but I listened to get a feel of them and just out of curiousity. Some shows were entertaining, especially Rush Limbaugh's. These guys are GOP propagandists, period. They could care less about conservative values as long as the GOP gets ahead of the Democrats. They are Republican hacks. Hannity gets real old, real quickly. Especially given his short bursts of anger. His callers also seem whiney and phoney sometimes. The whole Sean Hannity radio show seems so phoney that it is hard to listen to. I have no listened to radio in years. The only radio show I might listen to is John Batchelor, who actually presents actual news and less commentary. Plus, he has great guests, not callers. As for O'Reilly, I prefer him over Rush or Hannity. He is less of a GOP propagandist although he does portary them far more favorably than the Democrats. At least he sometimes has the guts to criticize a Republican - something that Rush and Hannity simply cannot do. We need less partisans on our radio and tv waves.

Fox News is slightly worse because some people simply tune out every other news channel and outlet of news due to their perception that only Fox can give them "Fair and Balanced" news. Polls show that viewers of other channels and out outlets tend to be more knowledgable of actual news than Fox viewers. These polls are lame, but still. Fox News is not not any more fair and balanced than CNN or MSNBC. They are out to get ratings, period. My excuse to watch Fox over CNN is because Fox is more entertaining. Other people watch Fox because it tells then what they want to hear. The hosts seem more favorable to their causes. I'm not saying Fox is terrible, just saying that these news channels are there to get ratings and the concern of reporting actual news falls below their desire to beat the other channels in ratings.

Yeah you could tell he was pretty emotional. I must admit I felt pretty emotional, especially towards the end as his tone got harsher.
