how does the AT AV crowd feel about Kef speakers? I'm eyeing up a pair of iq3s to be (for now) fronts connected to my tx-sr605.

I say for now, because I could move them to rear in a few months (budget permitting) or buy a different set for rear.
 
They are definitely a good speaker brand. They tend to specialize more in shrinking speaker size down and increasing the WAF (wife-acceptance-factor) as much as possible. They are probably a bit overpriced, but I don't know anyone who has bought them that doesn't like them.
 
When I worked at the hifi shop, we were a retailer of KEF - I thought their products were okay, but their newest Reference 201/2 is a big change IMO and will be one of the front-runners for my next speakers. They're definitely aesthetically pleasing, if nothing else 😛
