I've about had my fill of applications like Real Audio and Windows Media Player changing my file associations WITHOUT my permission and/or approval. Is there a way under Windows XP to KEEP the file associations that you configure?
1. you must configure Real player to open some extensions.
2. you must do the same to real player
3. DONOT set an extension to be opened by both programs..... otherwise you have done nothing
always the programs ask you about the extentions but people never pay attention until they realize something doesnot go well..
real player especialy the Real One have a small option in the installation process that you can set the extensions that you want. obviously most people set the program to do it automatically and that's what you get . .
confusion & chaos...
