the problem is not in the XP ....
1. you must configure Real player to open some extensions.
2. you must do the same to real player
3. DONOT set an extension to be opened by both programs..... otherwise you have done nothing
always the programs ask you about the extentions but people never pay attention until they realize something doesnot go well..
real player especialy the Real One have a small option in the installation process that you can set the extensions that you want. obviously most people set the program to do it automatically and that's what you get . .
