I signed up for it before it was widely public. What I didn't know is they pull the money from your checking and deposit it to your savings (or vice versa). It's NOT free money. I canceled it promptly because I was outright lied to.

?WTF? What were you expecting?

For my bank to not insult my intelligence by simply transferring money from my checking into my savings. To assume that I'm an invalid or that I don't have the self-control to do it myself is borderline despicable.

yeah but you're still an idiot for not understanding what they were trying to do. BTW, they didn't outright lie to you, you just didn't understand.

Furthermore, it IS free money b/c they match you on whatever you save for the first 3 months up to $250. So yes, it is free money.

When one is specifically told that there are no catches when they ask "is there anything else to this program?" or "is that it?" then yes, I consider that lying. I don't take kindly to being institutionally lied to.

Quit talking so ambiguously...what exactly did they lie about? You need to be more specific.

It sounds like you just don't understand the program. the program is simple and yes you do get free money. You must be retarded.

Oh, yes. You hit the nail on the head. I'm retarded.

No sh1t you are.

Basically the difference in change between the dollar amount you spend and the next dollar rounded up, they put the change into a savings account. This happens on every purchase.

So you spend $4.25, they round the sale up to 5 and deposit the 75cents into your savings account.

BOA will Match each deposit for the first 3 months, up to $250. This is where the "free" money you seeming do not understand comes into play.

You must be a freaking retard to not understand the terms and conditions. I'm enrolled and it's money I don't miss, but I've already got a few hundred dollars and they have to match that in a years time. I only signed up about 4 months ago.

lol, bam. couldn't have said it better myself.

Ha, I was going to try to pwn him when he said "it's NOT free money" but everyone else did a good job. Good work team.

Everyone here seems to forget that the MATCH was added later. And that chambersc claimed to be on the program right away BEFORE the match. Then you bash him for not getting a match. Hmm. It seems like Chambersc was correct; but he is now out-of-date and didn't realize about the later changes. And the rest of you are correct with the new information; but are bashing him for the wrong reason.

I'm pretty sure when it started they offered the match right away.

with idiotic replies that, you must be. You probably thought that when they ruond up to the nearest dollar, the difference put in your savings was on them. And b/c you can't admit to be wrong, you go about claiming that they "lied" to you when in fact you just didn't understand the program.
