It's all a matter of opinion -- different people prefer different things than other people and no one cooling solution is *best*.

I prefer the Taisol... its almost as good as an Alpha cooling wise and it is very quiet.

What about the SuperOrb? Cools just as well, but may not fit on your mobo without mods.

The SuperORB does not cool just as well as the big-boys(taisol, FOP, PAL, Hedgehog). The reading temp shows "equality", but this is just part of the problem of comparing heatsinks with a socket A mb.

I shouldn't have my hopes up too high, but look out for the Alpha PEP66 w/ 21CFM 60x10mm fan, this combo may become the prefered choice for performance/quietness (not in price though) in the near future. Just need to wait for the result from Overclockers.com to confirm with mine... Mikewarrior2, you should be familiar with my testing methods, right? :)

Tonyou,

if you're doing tests with a SOcket A platform, you know why you can't compare with it. As far as the soyo board, something is very fishy about soyo 6ba+ series boards, and i believe it could simply be a faulty resistor that Soyo has used(since, upon readng numerous reports of 6ba+III and +IV temps, they appear to be very compressed) or potentially another problem. The order should be correct, but full core temp differences aren't shown on the Soyo Boards for one reason or another.
