Keep getting Tracking cookies?

I just got a new laptop and as soon as I got it I did my VIAO updates, Windows update and I updated Norton and Sbybot.

I run the immunization on Sbybot SD then Sbybot SD scan. Which gives me 0 threats.

But when I run norton I keep getting 5-8 Security risks detected.
Even after I clean it if I run it again a day later it still pops up.

So I clean out all my cache/history in my websites and Cache in disk Clean up. run norton and still get 5-8 Security risks detected. Which I found out are tracking cookies.

Is there a way to clean this for good?

How do you even get tracking cookies? I just got the laptop a week ago and besides installing Eclipse and Spybot I haven't put anything else on it.

Appreciate any help or advice thanks

The vast majority of tracking cookies are perfectly harmless and can sometimes actually be useful. Many web sites use tracking cookies to keep track of what you did on their site, your ID (if the site uses one), your preferences on the site, etc.

Some malware removal programs mark all cookies as "threats" because it's possible for a malicious site to use a tracking cookie to capture your private information and/or share that information with other sites, but it's rare for this to happen, particularly if you have third-party cookies disabled in your browser (they should be disabled by default).

I don't think they're disabled by default, unless something's changed. That's one of the first things I do when setting up a browser for the first time.
