Keep getting BSODs...

My windows box keeps getting BSODs after a few days of being on. Would a heat issue give me BSODs? I switched out the memory w/a new stick and the problem still persists. Any other ideas?

classic athlon 700 w/ some cheap heatsink. One of the fans stopped working so I took it off while I'm waiting for the replacement (just noticed a few days ago). Its not overclocked at all, running on a FIC SD11 (yes, i know they suck), 256mb pc100 memory, win2000

oh yah, i thought it might be software related at first, so i formatted, and even w/ a clean install, it'd reboot after a couple days of being on

Yes, it was the CPU fan. I have dual fans on the CPU and one of them isnt working right now. I took it off because it was blocking airflow since it was not working at all. There is still one fan on there. I'm waiting for my new fan to come in, hopefully that will solve the problem. the BSOD said something like "Beginning memory dump" and then follows by some file, i think that file is different each time. If it happens again, I'll write it down and post. Thanks for the responses

nah...the FIC SD11 doesnt have CPU termo or anything like that at all..I"ll just hope for the best once my new fan comes in towmorrow
