Keep games or trade them in/sell?

What do you guys do with games you beat? I flip flop between selling when value is high and keeping them as "trophies" of sorts.

Just curious what AT does.

These days, I tend to keep all my games. When I was young and broke, and wanted a new release asap, I used to trade games in. Unfortunately, some of the games that I've traded in were a big mistake. Einhander, Suikoden, Tales of Destiny, to name a few.

i always keep mine. the $20 or so i will get for a trade in or sale just isn't worth it. would rather have it for the collection or possibly revisit later. also when i have a kid i will be able to show him some of the past AAA titles.

The ones I really enjoyed and will have fond memories from just by looking at the case, I keep in my collection.
Everything else I trade in when EB or any other store has their really good trade in deals like trade two worth over $8 for any pre-order.

If I really don't like a game, I'll try to sell it or trade it in as soon as possible so I can recoup as much money as possible.

But most of my games I get when they're older and less expensive anyway, so there's no point in trying to sell them. They're only worth a few bucks each.

I usually wait to buy a game until it's cheap, and reselling a $20 list game isn't worth the effort for me.

If I like a game I'll keep it anyway, just in case I feel like replaying it.

I only buy good games that I know I'll have some possibility to replay so I almost never get rid of games.

This is basically my attitude. If I really wanted to get some money back I'd sell them on eBay but it's not worth the effort. I keep everything and the majority of games I buy are discounted in some way.

It's not likely I will revisit most old games, since it's only becoming harder to keep up with what's new, but I like having them around.

I bought God of War 3 on launch day and beat it like 3 days later because it was just so awesome. I never really thought about even selling it and haven't played it since then heh. The game is just a masterpiece and I don't mind spending $60 on games like that and just keeping em because the fact they are so great.

I actually very rarely buy games off of their release date.

Depends on the game, some games have lasting appeal. The ones that don't go away. I never have very many games, and pretty soon I'm dumping a bunch of really old PC games that will never be played again. Stuff goes back to Descent 2...

Ever resell any poker games that count 3 pair?

I never sell games. I mean... isn't console e-peen measured by game library size ;)?

If I can get a good amount of money for the game (never less than $20), and I either didn't like it or am sure I will never play it again, or it has no nostalgic value for me, then I'll sell it.

I get a lot of games as gifts for Christmas or my birthday. Often times, they are not something I would buy myself, but I keep them in perfect condition and just resell them on Amazon.

Most games I get from deals for $10-$20. If I don't think I will ever replay these after I finish them, I resell them and break even, make a few dollars, or lose a few dollars.

For games I buy from $50-$60, either because they are OMG awesome games, or because I think they are, I resell them as soon as I finish them. Then I rebuy them later when they are less than $20, since they depreciate so fast. Once I finish a game I usually don't want to touch it again for at least a year.

I regret getting rid of all my games/consoles that are now legacy. I'm in the process of rebuilding my collection but doing it as efficiently as I can, ala buying a slim PS2 thus not needing a PSX, etc.

I like to keep my games now, you never know in the future when you'll want them for nostalgia or as a collector.

I only have a fraction of the games I've owned in the past but I still have my NES, SNES, PS1, PS2, Genisis, 2600 (console doesn't work though), Commodore 128...

I've kept probably 90% of all the games i've owned. its actually only been recently that i've considered trading old ps3 games. I have games like Red Dead Remption that were fun but i will most likely never play through. Anymore though i just do "game swaps" more than trade ins. i just see what my friends have and if they have something i want and i have something they want, we just swap. Though recently i havent gotten any new games. Did buy Dragon Age orgins though :)

Do still have all the games from N64, gamecube, SNES, NES, and atari 2600. Not huge collections (like 8 games per system). but have some classics in my mind like mario 3, duck hunt, space invaders for the 2600.

I keep my games. Gamestop's trade-in values suck and I can't be bothered selling them. The crappiest ones (cough Assassin's Creed) get stuffed in a drawer.

My biggest materialistic regret in life is selling my SNES collection when I was a stupid teenager.

Slowly rebuilding a library. Pretty happy with my Gamecube and DS stuff.

I wish I never sold back any games, but eh college students need money some how. All those old SNES and N64 games :(

But I do still have an Atari still lying around!

I usually play PC games, which I get most of the time from Steam, so no resells for those. Console games I usually get a bit behind the curve, buying games new for $20 or less, or used for even cheaper. That usually means reselling them really isn't worth the effort to get a decent price as the NIB price is already so low. Even for new release games, by the time I get around to finally finishing the thing the resale value is in the toilet :p Hence why I buy digital everything on the PC nowadays -- I never get around to reselling it so I might as save space and keep it convenient.

If it's something I know I'll play again I'll keep it. Other games I've bough tknowing I would sell them as soon as possible. Nowadays though I rarely buy SP-only games new, I almost always wait to get them second hand and don't mind keeping them as much.

Games I buy cheap (like $20) on sale I keep until Gamestop has those weeks where their trade-in is increased by 50%. Games I buy new, which is rare, I either know I will play for a long time like Halo Reach or I trade in as soon as I can, like Black Ops, for the best value.
