Keep earbud cord down while running?

I have a pair of earbuds, that aren't made for durability/running but they stay in my ear just fine so yeah. But the thing is, the cord bounces around like crazy. I have tried using the clip it came with, but I still can't really keep it down. It doesn't tangle, but it looks kinda dorky with the cord flapping around like that.

Sorry if this is the wrong category, but I didn't know where else to put it.

that might work, but I hate having to go through all that winding just to start running, mostly because I usually only run short distances.

I guess the other option will be to buy a retractable earphone, but then you will have to buy a new one which you don't want to do... I don't really see any other option, maybe run the cord from inside your shirt?

I run the cord into my collar and down out my right sleeve, then pull it up and plug it into my phone in an armband. This way you can pull out slack from your collar or loop it up outside of your sleeve, depending on where you want the excess.

I typically run the cord under my shirt and out the collar when I want to keep the cord out of the way.
