keep dislocating my shoulder

year ago, shoulder like cracked doing a pulldown at the gym... was sore for a week and then fine

beginning of this year, playing football, shoulder got dislocated for first time in my life... it popped itself back in after a couple minutes. was sore for a day or two tops.

month and a half ago, threw a lacrosse ball really hard (seeing how far I could throw), and shoulder popped out again. took longer to get back in than the first time, but it popped itself back in a couple minutes later. was sore for a day.

2 weeks ago, playing basketball, all I so is SHOOT the ball (from foul line) and shoulder comes out... I move it around and it goes back in. sore for 2-3 days.

what the fuck? am I going to need surgery?

i think you better go to the doc and get a MRI. shoulder and knee injuries are very common. pretty soon you'll be wiping your butt and dislocating your shoulder.

Shoulder injuries SUCK! They just keeping telling me "rest and P.T" but it doesn't help. I can barely hold something like 15 pounds in front of me for very long without pain. I have to go back and demand MRI I think.

On the other hand, I might be a candidate for medical marijuana

Ha reminds me of how once of the many, many (lost count at 40) times he's dislocated his arm. Was making breakfast tacos, flipped a tortilla on the stove and there went his shoulder. He's had surgery twice and still has it happen on occasion.

When I was younger I asked him if it was like Lethal Weapon where he could just slam it into a pillar/wall and pop it back in. It wasnt until I was older and had to drive him one time to see how it was done. Yeah, having a bunch of ER staff and doctors hold you still while they try and work it back in didn't look like too much fun.

Speaking of shoulder injuries, I managed to fracture my scapula as well as the proximal humerus a week ago, sucks. Wonder if dislocation would have been better?

IMO no. You are better off breaking a bone then injuring the soft tissues in the shoulder.

Definitely need to go see a doctor. You'll likely need physical therapy to help work on the shoulder stabilizing muscles to help minimize the risk of a redislocation

I think that would have happened long ago had Uncle Sam read a few of OP's threads.

Then again...the quality of recruits these days. ugh....

No shit...you'd THINK that mental deficiency would be a good enough disqualifier...but apparently not.

I knew a couple guys that had that problem. both had to get some type of socket rebuild to keep it from occuring eventually.

lol dude. you better avoid more dislocations or you seriously are going to need major surgery

You have to take it apart and buy replacement screws. The originals are probably worn or stripped due to your vigorous masturbation.

You can do some exercises/therapy to strengthen the muscles and that might help. But it might only help a little and not really fix anything. It really sounds like everything's way stretched out and (as mentioned before) you need to get cut.
