I'd recommend the Samsung 955DF or NEC AS90.

The 955DF is great except the refresh rates are pretty bad though not a problem if you don't mind 1280x1024@75hz or if you don't use as high as 1280x1024 then it would probably be the best choice.

The AS90 is good also and the refresh rates are higher.

As far as the KDS VS, I'm not sure about getting a KDS from the VisualSensations line (cheap). Some users on this forum say they are good and possibly they are but I think there is better choices. And $210 for a 19". Erm that doesn't sound good!

Actually my roommate has a Samsung and its very blury @ 1600 by 1200. I would get the KDS as they have a very good monitor with a great warranty.

What Samsung model? Is it the video card? I heard problems especially with the Hercules GF2 64mb at high resolutions like 1600x1200 though I don't own a GF2 so I couldn't confirm it.

the 955df only works at 66hz at 1600x1200, plus any monitor will look blurry with a gf2 at 1600x1200 (because the gf2 sucks at 2d) . If you can get the vs190 for $210 its a good deal, as long as it doesnt break of course. I've got a vs19sn, and well my replacement that they sent me for my broken monitor , is slightly broken, so i talked to them and they are gonna let me upgrade to a av195tf. If you want a cheap samsung that is good at 1600x1200 get the 950p (i've seen this one, it can do a good 75hz at 1600x1200, bnc connectors for dual inputs, pretty nice lie $270 though).
