KDE for solaris/sun

Where can I get the latest version of KDE that would run on a SunBlade 1000 machine? I am using a version now that someone told me how to set up last spring, but I was wondering how I could get/install a newer one. I looked at KDE.org but could only find a version for x86 Solaris.

If you have to ask... =)

Actually it shouldn't be too difficult as long as you have all the appropriate development packages installed, there should be a README file or something in the sources to get you started and give you an idea of what you're up against.

All I had to do to switch to KDE 2.2 was change my .login and .cshrc files, meaning that the necessary KDE files were already installed somwhere else on the school's network, correct? Can I even use a new version of KDE on a sparc machine that runs pretty much all of its software from somewhere other than its own HD?

That changes the whole situation, most likely no. Imagine if everyone could write to the NFS mounted /usr or / partition, 1 little f' up would break every machine there.

But, if you have enough local disk space you can install KDE3 in something non-networked, then maybe.
