Yeah they changed it recently. Before it would have to be recovered past the first down marker to be a first down for the kicking team.

Yeah they changed it recently. Before it would have to be recovered past the first down marker to be a first down for the kicking team.

That's what I was thinking. They didn't even recover it beyond the 1st down marker.
