This past Saturday I was driving by a KB Toys (SoCal area) and they were having a liquidation sale with discounts up to 50% off. Everything I saw was 30% off. I didn't see anything with 50% off. In any event, there were still some stuff that was worth buying. Most of the console games were gone.

"it plans to close at least 375 stores and fire about 3,500 of its 12,000 employees"

I hope it means "layoff" not "fire".
It sucks not to be able to get benefits.

Not very good deals. There were a few odds and ends, but most of the stuff was retail price w/ 30% off, meaning it was around what they normally sold it for.

The video games were all right. Nintendo GC games never go on sale, so there were some titles available for $20-$30. Most of the game systems were shipped to other stores, so not much to choose from there. Did pick up a talking light saber for my son's birthday though :D

Went to the local one here a few weeks ago, all video games were 40% off. I picked up Megaman Battle Network for gamecube brand new for $25, and a Dual Shock controller for $13

We went again on Friday, and it was the final days of the store (3 days left). Everything in the store was 50% off and they had NEW games they didn't have last time I was there. I picked up Mario Golf for Cube for $25 brand new, and my roommate got NBA Jam for PS2 for only $15, brand new. Great stuff!

They're only closing in any location they have some competition. Anywhere that doesn't have a Wal-Mart or Toys R Us or Target nearby will stay open because people will still go there for their WAY overpriced stuff. 30% off brings it their toys down to what you'd pay at Target or Wally World
