What is the difference between the two... besides spyware???

The main diffrence between Kazaa and Kazaa Lite is the spyware. I got rid of Kazaa several weeks ago, after leaving a notebook downloading stuff unattended for a almost a week. When I returned, there were 4 applications installed, 2 Internet Explorer Add-ons and a bunch of other crap. Kazaa SUCKS BIG TIME!

I've been using Kazaa Lite ever since, and I have to say it's working perfectly. No spyware, no suspicious apps and the GUI is practically the same. It's the same network, so you'll find the same users and files to download. There are some additional features, like the "SpeedUp" thingie. Also, you alway have 1000 rating, so you can download lots of files at the same time (wich is great).

Don't bother with Kazaa, go with Lite!

Yeah, no spyware. Also you have 1000 rating, and you can disable that stupid thing that lets people cut in line when downloading from you.

I have always used Kazaa Lite personally.....well since the days of Napster, AudioGalaxy, Morpheus etc were long gone.....

I've tried E-Donkey 2000 and WinMX and both were so slow in my experience I had them removed from my PC within a day of installation.

Can't say I've seen anything recently to even consider moving away from Kazaa Lite.

Because Kazaa Lite and Kazaa aren't made by the same people. The people who do Kazaa Lite take the original Kazaa and remove all of the crap and add their own features.

Go here for WinMX but if you use Kazaa Lite you may not be too impressed with it.
