Wow... the people don't like you asking that question :p Try uninstalling the program and installing a new copy... all of your downloads in your shared file (even not completed files) will resume when you get the program working.

BTW.... I hear bit torrent is the way to go although I have never used it?

Face it, losing kazza is no great loss. Theres plenty of fileshare progs out there, why use one thats commonly targeted by script kiddies to spread malisious code ?

Secondly, what do you need Kazaa Lite for?

1. Until I get a solution

2. The Muppets had a hit song in 1977 with "Mah Na Mah Na." and we all know the song. But, what many do not knwo is that it was written by Piero Umiliani for a Swedish porn film in 1968. I wanted to find the original version by Piero Umiliani. This is unusualy enough of a song, that Kazaa is liekly to be the only place I could find it.

I don't use it for illegal things.
Why do you assume I do?
Maybe you use it for that, but not me.

Why do you actually care enough to enter the thread and post something negative? That attitude makes message boards worse, unfriendly, etc...
Smile, and Don't Panic, and don't forget your towel.

I wasn't trying to be a bastard, I simply don't understand why you keep recreating the exact same thread.

There is no need for it. Bump the old one(s) if you must. :)

Have you cleaned up the spyware and viruses that come along with it?? Some of those things were required for kazaalite to function.

As said before, Kazza is not the only fileshare prog out there, and is perhaps the worst choise you could go for in the fileshare world, there are a number of fileshare progs around, all have different communities, just google 'Fileshare programs' and pick something that A) works, B) does NOT install a load of crap, C) is NOT targeted by script kiddies to spread their latest creation's around, & D) WONT give you as much hassle as 'Kazza' already has. Try WinMX, Morpheus, e-donkey or Audio Galaxy.

Kazaalite
A) Normally works
B) Does NOT install any crap
C)Never downloaded any virus from it, but then I would nto run any *.exe I got from there
D)It has worked well for years, only been down for a week or so for me

Kazaa != KazaaLite
KazaaLite is a hacked version with the spyware/adware BS removed

Anytime you downlod a file it could be a virus, but no one in their right mind downloads an:
.exe
.scr
.com
.pif
from an unknown place and runs it.

I do all the time as i dont have to worry about getting infected cos i dont run a lame ass antivirus, i run something worth having, terefore have countless gig's of programs for free and blah blah ... its ok if you know what your doing, its mostly double extention files you want to avoid on p2p, and i know what kazza lite is, so what makes you so sure that someone can hack the spyware out of kazza and not put a trojan into it ? Maybe they didnt, but by running it your already trusting someone who has 'cracked' or maybe 'buchered' would be better, a piece of software, but you just dont know to what extent they buchered it to. So that kind of goes against everything you said huh.

Thousands of folks on this forum run KazaaLite and no one has reported any "secret" virus. That is why I think it is safe.

You will not find thousands here that use kaaza. Most regulars here are knowlegable and not dumb enough to want to use pos things like kaaza or kaaza lite. Don't try to justify your stupidity by making claims to make yourself feel better or not look as dumb as you are.
