What is the "Supertrick" page? Sounds good but I am not sure where to locate it. Exe file worked fine and is downloading now...

in the previous version, those said 'shopping' and 'tell a friend' or something. i guess they just felt that those two buttons are useless. and i would agree.
 
I just can't seem to get Kazaa lite. Every link Ihave tried is dead. Can some kind person please email it to me?

Okay someone tell me what has happened with Morpheus. I understand it was hacked and the software was down. But about a week ago and since then I ran the old morheus and it works!!! No modifications. Is it unadvisable to still run the old Morpheus. How is this new KazaaLite better?

 
just download the regular version of kazaa and then go to the following website to disable the spyware:

That's what I did and no more spyware. been using kazaa for about 2 weeks now
 
Remember this version essentially just automates the whole spyware removal process, but it also adds a couple of enhancements as well. Most noteably, it removes the 128k bitrate limit on the normal version of KaZaA.

Supertrick is a cool feature that lets you turn OFF most of banners. Read more info on that page. Unfortunatelly, it does not work on Sux2K (or I goofed-up completely).

Anyway, if anybody figured out how to make it work on Win2k, please let me know.

Just use Trillian. It uses the ICQ network as well as AIM, MSN, and Y! all in the same client with NO ads.
It's truly wonderfule
 
I got it to work on Win 2K just fine. Followed the directions exactly as they were on the page. Copy and paste all those lines into the host file and it will work great. Disables the banners in Kazaa and also the banners at the top of Anandtech pages too! Sweetness
 
I tried Kazaa Lite, and I didn't like all the junk in it. I have recently neutered Grokster to be ad-free and spyware free, you can read the account at the link below:

This way you don't have the annoying Bonzai Buddy and shop icons either. Sure it does take a little bit of work, but it works great, no pop ups, no ads and no spyware. Check it out.

I finally got a complete 1.50 mg download and opened it. I agreed to the Registry entry, but stupid me...............I didn't copy it down. I wish I had.
I did Adawre before and after loading KaZaA. There was one Cydor entry after then install. I didn' think there would be any.

I enjoyed Morpheus, so I'm happy to have something to replace.😀
 
this thing isn't working at all. I can't download stuff.

Anyone that tries to upload from me gets about 200K then it stops.

Now the search isn't even working.

Something is major hosed.
 
Loving this version...but has no one else noticed ad-aware still picks up a file with this? (if you have the latest list installed at least). it's a .dll so it can't be deleted sadly, but still makes me arch an eyebrow in curiousity
