KaZaA Lite 1.6 was released just moments ago. KaZaA Lite features:

- No Adware
- No Spyware
- No banners
- No bitratelimit for mp3 files
- No irritating websites loaded into KaZaA
- No BDE Viewer
- No Bonzi Buddy
- Set up multiple users with the included PseudoTrack tool

Cheers John, after i removed all the spyware from the latest version of Kazaa it said it was missing components needed to run Kazaa - rubbish

I just installed it, ran ad aware 5.7 and it found that cydoor file cd_clint.dll installed in the Kazaa Lite directory is that right?

Does Ad Aware find the file cd_clint.dll and assume it's cydoor, has the file been changed to remove the spyware? Haven't got any pop-ups yet so i think it might be ok, just my paranoia(sp?)

skull, yes it is a hacked dll that allows functionality of the program but Ad-aware still "sees" it as being a bad thing.

Yes, you are paranoid .. yes thats a good thing in a LOT of cases. 😉

Yes, the single file ad aware finds in kazaaa lite is not adware/spyware.
