Kazaa -- How many of you are using this program since Morpheus went down?

Is it about the same amount of ppl that was using Morpheus? Also, do they have the same things you could find on Morpheus?

Kazzaa is (and was) the same network as Morpheus, just as Grokster is also the same. Often when you downloaded on Morpheus you were downloading from a Kazaa user. So it will be the same (again) assuming all the Morpheus people go over to Grokster or Kazaa.

I installed grokster last night. I tried the "new" morpheus and it was one of the most disgusting, vile, obscene computing experiences I've ever had. To say it is horrible beyond comprehension and hellish beyond words is an understatement of epic proportions.

I'm familiar with the spyware removal, but what is this about bitrate raping?

they limit you to 128 MP3's. Modfying the registry eliminates that restriction.

Here ya go

I'm using Kazaa as well.

My system's really glitchy even after spyware removal, I think I'm just gonna restore an image here and start
over

<< i use direct connect >>

Same here. I refuse to use Kazaa and Grokster with their spyware. True there are ways around this, but direct connect is filling my needs now.

I finally tried out Kazaa today, seems to work ok.

The bitrate limitation

As you may know, KaZaA doesn't allow mp3's with a bitrate above 128 to be shared. This limitation has prevented KaZaA from being the top P2P network, however, this limitation can easily be circumvented.
1) Run regedit.(Using start menu> run > 'regedit')
2) Press ctrl+F to search, and search for 'limitbitrate ' (takes a few seconds) doubleclick limitbitrate and change the value to a 0 (zero). This enables searching of files over a 128 bitrate .
