Ok, I'm back. So far the new version just seems like a Windows XP style makeover (translation: kiddie). I'm sure there's more to it than that but for now I don't see it. Also, it still comes with the same stupid spyware so I had to remove that.
Now running kazaa gives you an error message, you just removed spyware that is necessary for kazaa to run :Q
So install a dummy file to replace the spyware:
3. Go here
4. Download and extract CD_CLINT.ZIP into your windows\system (win9x) or system32 (nt) folder
5. Run kazaa and enjoy
i wont use Kazaa after they started bundling distributed computing software.

Editor's note: This download includes additional applications that are bundled within the KaZaa's installer file. These applications will deliver advertisements, collect information, overlay content or graphics on the Web site you are viewing, or modify your system settings. As with all downloads, CNET recommends that you pay close attention to the options presented to you during the installation process. Known third-party applications bundled with this download include Cydoor and Altnet. For more information about the Altnet software bundled within Kazaa, please read CNET
The Brilliant network is based on a piece of software called "Altnet Secureinstall," which is bundled with the Kazaa software. That technology can connect to other peer-to-peer networks, ad servers or file servers independently of the Kazaa software and can be automatically updated to add new features, according to Brilliant's filing.
