Kayne West "Late Registration"

Rolling Stone has lost all credibility, imho.

The only thing I like is Get Your War On... which can be found online anyway.

They are focusing more on appeasing liberals, showing off celebrity life, and putting more and more clothing advertisements in every new magazine.

My brother gets it, but it comes to my house.

It blows...


Oh, I haven't listened to Kanye West yet, but usually rap is crappy techno with bling bling, screwin hoes, and killing people. Not my cup of tea.

I don't LOVE it right now, 3/5 as well...but then again, the last album wasn't great for me off the bat but I grew to appreciate it. We'll see if that happens again.
 
I wonder if people actually grow to appreciate it, or you hear it so much that you are familiar with and therefore enjoy something you heard a while back due to nostalgia or some other method.

I am still experimenting on this...
 
man. i didnt think it was hot... too much soul, not enough heat. solid listening album, if you can ignore kanye's mediocre rapping. and why does he make his voice so annoying sometimes? its so NUUUUUUUUTS. wtf.

i was disappointed in crack music (i expected way more bounce there... game just has one hook?), we major (nas's verse wasnt as hot as it coulda been), and late is just poor....

I got it 3 weeks ago. :roll:

There are a few good songs on it. The gold digger song, the diamond song and it's remix, the song with paul wall "drive slow" and the song with john mayor. The rest of the album sucks.

Oh, that common album was horrible IMO.

It was released to the public in CD format today so I thought I would pick it up.

John Mayer isn't on the album. The track he did with Kanye ("Bittersweet") was scrapped. You might be thinking of track 2 (Heard 'Em Say with Adam Levine of Maroon 5).

and how can you claim the common album is horrible?
It's all Kanye production at a similar level to this album and Common is about 1000x more skilled as an MC. You can listen to Be all the way through - I gurantee that you skip at least one song on Late Registration.

EDIT: Someone mentioned him getting shot in the leg. It was Suge Knight that got shot in the leg, not Kanye. Kanye just threw the party.

Not really. If I had to compare him to anyone else, I'd say Wyclef Jean.
