My post was specifically referring to the slang word definition and not the sexual assault allegations. That's a separate issue. Everyone here was arguing about the definition and trying to disqualify/qualify Kav for the appointment.

The fact of the matter is the FBI indisputably did not pursue all the obvious options for obtaining such evidence during this clearly extremely limited investigation. The FBI interviewing Ford to see if she could name any other additional witnesses which the FBI might interview would be an obvious (early) step for example. It also appears clear the FBI did not ask any questions about Kavanaugh's drinking habits in the past which actually would be fairly standard question to ask during even a normal background check, and fits with an investigation designed to specifically avoid find anything incriminating. Strong enough evidence Kavanaugh really blatantly lied about his drinking habits under oath should be enough to justify voting against confirmation by itself. (It also would clearly be relevant to the credibility of the rest of the his testimony.) The FBI also did not bother to interview other witnesses who volunteered to speak with the FBI in the last few days in support of Ford's claims, which would be an obvious step in a true effort to be somewhat comprehensive.

I'm wondering if democrats will show up at the polls in November being that the Kavanaugh thing would be history and Kavanaugh installed on the court?

Typically, democrats do not come out off elections like midterms.
Typically, the motivation is just not there.
Republicans always turn out, but democrats, they never do.

By November, Kavanaugh would have been seated and democrats deflated. Same old story....
So, where is the motivation for democrats?
Kavanaugh's in or will be, and Donald Trump still president.

This whole scenario is a perfect win-win for democrats.


If kavanaugh goes down we avoid having a certified rapist and nut job on the court, which is awesome. We also defeat the turtle at his own game. it gives the democrats an opportunity to possibly even derail any confirmation at all, as long as Mueller comes up with something before december.

If kavanaugh doesn't go down, democrats get to justifiably paint the GOP as the party of sexual predators. The party of Roy Moores, Donald Trumps and Bret Kavaunghs. The party where it's OK to grab them by the pussy. Democrats will get a huge turnout boost and maybe even take the senate. They can also move to investigate Kavanaugh later and maybe even move to impeach some day. There will be lots of opportunities to go after Kavanaugh should he get on the court.


Democrats can't lose. Kavnaugh is writing sob stories and apologizing in the WSJ Opinion section. HE KNOWS HE IS IN TROUBLE

She revealed the assault in the couples session in 2012. She didn't say the renovations happened after that. In fact they quote her explicitly saying they had completed them, so them saying they were in progress is just, wow like next level fail of reading comprehension. How the fuck does completed mean present tense? Once again the fucking morons refute their own fucking argument with their argument. And again, its because they're so goddamned stupid that they don't even understand simple/basic words/phrases/concepts they're using as the basis of their argument.
