ok yeah i can understand why its not good for sesame street. there is no reason for her to show that much cleavage for a s how aimed at 3-6yr olds

Facepalm...

"her outfit featured a flesh-colored mesh top that went all the way up to her neck, like a figure-skating costume."

So she was showing to much neck for ya? o_O

I've seen WAY worse female dress at schools, the mall, grocery store, sporting events, etc. Do the people who object to this video not take their kids out of the house?

I don't see anything inappropriate at all with the skit.

The top is almost completely see through, and probably over half her breasts are clearly visible.

Really? Parents this this outfit is too inappropriate for Sesame Street?

Hell yes that's inappropriate for SS ... what the hell are you thinking? ... and my kids are 22 and 31!

Of course, the original Sesame Street is now considered no longer suitable for children: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/18/magazine/18wwln-medium-t.html

I'm reading this article and laughing. Some of this actually does kinda send the wrong message.

article about the show said:
on the very first episode, which aired on PBS Nov. 10, 1969 — a pretty, lonely girl like Sally might find herself befriended by an older male stranger who held her hand and took her home.
lol. That's a bit of a wishy washy topic that isn't easy for kids to understand. When you ask strangers for help, they will often help you, and that's good. When the stranger is the one approaching you and trying to take you home, that's totally different. Bad message indeed.

article said:
Snuffleupagus is visible only to Big Bird; since 1985, all the characters can see him, as Big Bird’s old protestations that he was not hallucinating came to seem a little creepy
Flintstones had this too. I think it was only Fred and Pebbles who could see Gazoo. The explanation was that Pebbles could see him as well because she believed in him. Wilma and Betty did not see him because they did not believe

I watched the first 10 seconds. Outrage not found. Parents that don't like it need to find the off button on the TV. Of course raising kids is a lot more work than bitching about the crappy job the TV set is doing of it.

Young children, especially infants, should never see or be exposed to a breast.

This is why I won't have children. Nipples are from Satan and I can't figure out how to feed them with nipples. Plus, why hasn't' congress mandated C sections yet. I can't imagine letting my baby touch my wife's "parts" down there. That's so morally wrong!

You guys can say all you want about prudish americans or whatever, but at the end of the day if I had a 5 year old girl who watched sesame street I would not want her to see that because she will likely want to dress just like her.

By the way even if she does have the mesh go up to her neck it doesn't make it better because it still looks like her tits are hanging out all over the place. Why don't we just make her whole costume that same material and paint some nipples and a bush on there. It's okay because she's still covered up from her head to her toes guys.

I'm not objecting to this, BUT... there are a few shows I generally trust will have content I agree with. I don't always watch those shows with my kids - sometimes I have other things to do. If one of my trusted shows suddenly broke with it's run of fitting my concept of quality content, I might make a comment to the show's producers as well.

If I looked up from my bills to see a platypus gangbang on Phineas and Ferb, chances are high I'd say something to Disney.

Yes, that's an exaggeration, but so is your implication that as soon as a parent lets their kid watch Sesame Street, they're suddenly letting the TV raise their child.

You should never let your kid watch tv or out of the house. Also don;t let her breast feed, some evil liberals let kids actually suck on breast. You believe that!!! o_O

It's not like the 3-6 year olds will notice it, only their dirty minded parents do

Katie Perry is an inappropriate guest on SS. All she is is a pair of singing boobs.

And? You want to keep little boys interested in learning? Put a hot pair of tits in front of them and they'll pay attention.

Sesame Street has muppets that:
- live in a trash can (Oscar the Grouch)
- steal cookies (Cookie Monster)
- is always high (Snuffleupagus) and his drug dealer (Big Bird)
- "vants to suck your blood - ah ah ah" (Count Dracula)
- is a prick (Ernie)

Did I miss anyone?

Mothers everywhere gasp in horror as their 4 year olds realize 'oh, THAT'S what they are supposed to look like! What happened to yours, mom?'

pfft. If you think Katy Perry is wearing "inappropriate" clothing, then what about Elmo? He's completely naked!

Pretty tame by Brazil's standards. They have some sweet-ass children's programming.

Haha - Education reform idea #1 on how to get boys more interested in school....
