I thought that this was going to be about those little keychain electronic pet things, but then I remembered that those are called Tomagachi. I don't know WTF is going on in that picture, except for a black hole of text.

Katamari is a gamewhere you roll a sticky ball around collecting random crap. The ball gets larger and larger which enables it to attract larger and larger items. You go from picking up paperclips and ants and you end up picking up buildings and mountains. The transitions are seemless. You may be bumping up against a person's shoe one moment then knocking them down or sending them running the next and then rolling right over and picking them up the next. You'll soon be so large that you don't even see humans.

Very quirky, cool, and fun.

Oh yeah, a person in my tech writing group told me about this. It was the winner or the Yahoo(?) 24-hour programming competition that was held a week or so ago.

It's pretty damn cool.

It's some kind of game where a ball of crap rolls around picking up stuff so that the ball gets bigger. Apparently this app does the same thing with the text in your browser window.
