This guy is as loonie as the rest of them? Or just trying to get elected? Seriously a federal agency $$ to promote which in sense is a single Religion? If you're going to do something like this why not just say American Values.

As part of a broad national security plan to defeat ISIS, Republican Presidential candidate John Kasich proposed creating a new government agency to push Judeo-Christian values around the world.

The new agency, which he hasn't yet named, would promote a Jewish- and Christian-based belief system to four regions of the world: China, Iran, Russia and the Middle East.

"We need to beam messages around the world" about the freedoms Americans enjoy, Kasich said in an interview with NBC News Tuesday. "It means freedom, it means opportunity, it means respect for women, it means freedom to gather, it means so many things."

He defended creating a new government agency at a time when fellow Republican presidential candidates discuss eliminating government agencies to making the government smaller.

Which of those has ever been shown to be a Judeo/Christian value? None that I've ever seen in practice.
 
What about a government agency dedicated to promoting secular humanistic values? I would support such an agency but would it violate the Establishment Clause?
 
Honestly what would be more effective and cheaper is to higher a bunch of 12-25 year old trolls to make a never ending stream of picture, video, edited news clips, fake twitter accounts to endlessly make fun of ISIS. We could pay them in high speed internet access and gaming gear.
I'm not kidding either. I do believe this would have an impact. Promoting a religion is exactly what ISIS wants us to do.

Disagree. ISIS wants us to go to Syria/Iraq and engage them in a big war. They got a prophecy they want fulfilled.

Yes that is the ultimate goal except you need to add Israel to the mix. Promoting a non Islam faith to Muslims is a stepping stone to get there.
That's why I prefer the troll army.

I don't know much about Kasich, but I read an opinion the other day stating that despite him being quiet and perceived as rational, he's actually the craziest of the bunch with things like no abortion ever, even when the mother's life is in danger, or this whole we'll turn the world in Christian's nonsense.
 
Trump can call his own supporters idiots to their face and then gains additional supporters in the process. All while treating them like idiots.

Kasich probably figured out that his chances are slim so he might as well pull out all the stops to court every idiot he can find. His next proposal will be to promise every american a free legal mexican to provide lawn care for every illegal mexican he kicks out. This will be followed by a plan to build giant robots to fight Iran and China while providing free oral sex to veterans because Murica Jesus troops with guns values.
