karma came back and bite me hard(craigslist bike prank)

SAWYER

Lifer
I'm sure all saw the thread where I pulled a prank on a guy I know about a bike
http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2194779&highlight=

Well it came back on me 20x

I sold a four wheeler and a few other things on craigslist and had not deposited my cash yet, well I lost my wallet. I am pretty sure I lost it at Wal-Mart from between the register and my vehicle. I do not know for certain how much I had but it was around 2000. I had 17 100 dollar bills from selling the four wheeler and about 2-300 in other bills. The state police contacted a person I know who had given me their number and I had it on a piece of paper in my wallet. Everything was in my wallet besides my license and the money, they didn't bother with my gift cards.

So I suppose I had this coming and I deserve this

Moral of story, think twice before pranking someone

No, I would say just think twice before going to Walmart. GO TO TARGET! People there are way more nice HEHE

Hahahahahahahahaha

OP you deserves some mad props for posting both threads. Not since Trident has someone been so intent on degrading themselves for our amusement.

I have no problem owning up when I screw up, I was super pissed then realized that won't get my money back and maybe there is such thing as karma. The only positive is that guy ended up buying a bike so he had cash from selling his bike

A few times a month I go to the post office with several thousand in cash on me. I Always put that shit in my front pockets so that if I got mugged or was dumb I wouldn't lose it all

Post office is definitely the first place I would go with thousands in cash. Good call.

Man that's harsh. I don't think that has much to do with karma though. If I had 2k in my wallet, I would constantly be aware of it's presence. There would be no possibility of misplacing it, because my body would practically extend nerve endings through my jeans into that mofo. If you can't tell, I don't normally walk around with lots of cash.

Isn't the the second time you lost a large amount of money?

Moral: Stop trolling craigslist and get a job.

I have debit cards, both cases was pure stupidity on my part and me being careless, no denying that.

Cheap money orders that I scan and deposit at home. I use USAA so no local branch and I get paid in cash.

I've weighed other solutions but this works the best for me.

Lol, I am a little bit careful when I do this, but I definitely have no set pattern of when I go to the post office and I even go to a few different ones that are close to my apartment. That way nobody knows that at like 1pm on mondays I'll be walking with a good chunk of change in my pocket. Odds of even employees picking up on it are low.

Either way I gotta walk somewhere with my cash, part of being in my industry.
