Yeah, she went for her yearly check-up last month and was off the charts for height. My 5-year old is tall for his age too. I'm ~6'2 and my wife is 5'10. So, while we are taller than average we are hardly 'giants'. I'm not sure where the kids are getting it and it makes me wonder how tall are they going to end up when they've finished growing.

Hehe. This was actually in between hair-dos. Most of the time her hair is in ponytails or braids. My wife had taken her hair out for bathtime and put it back in braids after the bath. We're trying to get it to grow out long enough so that the weight will hold it down. It is in the stage right now where it just wants to poof out.

God forbid if anything happens to my wife and I have to do my daughter's hair though.

Do you or your wife have any tall brothers or sisters? I'm tall as well almost 6'2 but my parents were 5'5 and 5'8. My uncle is 6'3 but my parents' parents were short. So she might be getting her height from an aunt\uncle.

I'm actually the tallest in my immediate family. I have one cousin that is 6'4 though. My wife's brother is maybe an inch shorter than me but she has a cousin that is something like 6'6 or taller while most of her uncles and cousins are around my height. Her mom is also something like 5'11.
