Well nerds love to love her. You have to see the show Mythbusters to get an idea of the types of things they do but suffice it to say they perform non scientific "science" experiments to prove or disprove common (or not so common) urban legends. She does a certain number of things that stereotypically are "manly" welding, working with wood and other materials etc. Yes a lot of people do think she's hot. Too each his own, I quite like here though I agree she wouldn't be to everyone's tastes.
