Karaoke machines & Apex DVD with karaoke capabilities.

Can someone help me on the topic? I wish to buy a nice one for a family as a x-mas gift. Hopefully something more on the cheap side.


Also,I have an Apex DVD player that says it has karaoke capabilities. Does that mean I can stick in a karaoke disk, attach microphones, and use the DVD player as a karaoke machine?

yes, you can.
Just stick a karaoke disc (usually a VCD) and attach microphones and go at it.
don't forget the setup to karaoke mode (read the manual).
adjust echo, key, mic volume, etc.
