the sad thing is, in order to get the effect, you HAVE to sing out of tune, otherwise, you dont give the effect anythign to change, therefore you don't hear any changes.

So yea here is how it goes

Producer: Kanye, I need you to sing that chorus again, but instead, sing it all fucked up, like out of key and bad notes, etc.

Kanye: That's easy!

Producer: Cool, now I;'ll just tell the effect what KEY you were supposed to be in, and all that stuff that is off will get effected and it will sound cool.

I just always thought that line was more about the disparity between the haves and have-nots. I didn't think it was really about government conspiracies or anything.

Agreed. I took a listen to this album last night. My first impression was not that good. There are a few songs that are okay, but in general it sounds like the same crap I've heard pounded into my head on the radio over and over again.

Just watched the Love Lockdown video on youtube, kept expecting a chorus of 'I'm blue, da ba dee da ba die'. On the one hand it's nice to see a hip hop artist try something different, in this case not rapping, however the song itself is just standard 80s' pop, as you get the impression he watched Miami Vice a lot as a kid.
