stoked?

And isnt Wakarusa music festival in Lawrence the same weekend? Big mistake having both things going on at the same time in the same proximity.

No, I'll be at worlds of fun with the family doing our annual pilgrimage.

Have fun at the worlds largest single day music festival.

It must be the "single" day qualifier. I thought there were metal music festivals in Europe that played to over 100k+.

True, they are different audiences, but personally, I like both kinds of music. I like Ben Folds.. I like CAKE, um.. yeah, thats about it.

Rockfest has more artists I like, but its going to be wall to wall assholes and drunks, whereas wakarusa has hippies and its at the lake where I can jetski and have fun.

Interesting fact: The word ?Wakarusa? is a Native American term meaning "ass-deep". In and around the Lawrence Kansas area, it refers to the Wakarusa River, which, oddly enough, is about "ass-deep" in depth.

No they pull that on single days. I remember the one Ozzfest i went to had 20k people so 100k over there is nothing.

Just going on what I heard on the radio, but even though they might pull in 100k in a single day, they events are multi day events. This is a single day event, so, for single day events, this is the largest one worldwide.

40,000 people were crammed into Liberty Memorial last year and then 25,000 back in 2005 when I went.

The line is sure a sight to see

I'll be there. One of my friend's brother in law owns Funky Munkey Music and got us passes.

Oh the titties....oh the titties....

Can't say I'm too into most of the music, but it'll be fun anyway.

Well, it was a blast. Stone Temple Pilots were amazing, as were really most of the main stage bands except for Saliva (which were not good IMO).

Stone Temple Pilots, I think, were a definitive 90s band, and I'm glad I got to see them and hear them live :)

Oh yeah... there were a lot of really, really NASTY titties there. And just nasty people in general. The good looking ones never expose themselves! :p Well, they do... just not as often as we'd like :D
