This show had badly Americans don't want a female, especially a minority one in charge. I am without words. His campaign was trainwreck after trainwreck and it's almost like it helped him. There's only 2 things that come to my mind, 1. a lot of fuckin idiots didn't get out and vote. or 2. Trump's really that popular. To keep my sanity I have to believe MAGAs are a minority and do not represent this country as a whole. But there's no way in hell that many people didn't get out and vote.

I'm not blaming Kamala, sure she could have made some better choices for her campaign. But she was fairly likable and picked who turned out to be a good VP. With the results, I don't think there's anything here she could have done to win. The stuck on stupid people who really think Biden's the worst president ever see her the same as Biden. If she took all the remaining states, she'd still come up short. FUCK FUCK FUCK...

I'd love to say I hope Trump gets impeached a 3rd time and the GOP actually have the balls to send him packing this time. But that would leave us with Vance as president.

This is a sad fucking night for the history books. And this just a week after that author started to release excerpts from his interview with Epstein chronicling how terrible Trump is. That's our leader, and his reign of terror hasn't even begun. There is no justice in the world.

All you need to do is read your first 2 sentences: Blaming America for not voting in a woman.

This is why you lost.

This is why you will continue to lose.

Because you chalk it up to some random thing that has nothing to do with the ACTUAL reasons you lose.

Do I need to remind you that a whopping total of 0 democrats voted for her to represent them as their candidate party of choice?

Butt I will say that it's not a bad economy, and we failed to convince voters that inflation was solved, the labor market is resilient, and wages are at least outpacing inflation. The facts are the facts, but tens of millions of voters believed otherwise. Then, DJT falsely claimed that migrants are contributing to the problem and that message fooled a lot of rubes.
Saying that "inflation is solved" is bad messaging and also wrong in the many ways that people actually conceive prices.

Inflation is a back to a lower number, but it's not like prices are going down - they're just going up slower (as always). Everything that has accumulated is still there and will stay there, and wages might be going up but it's not uniform and not for everyone, and of course doesn't happen for everyone anyway.

The main lesson here is that you must listen to the electorate. I don't think Harris was a certain loser tonight, I thought she ran a good campaign.
Where we failed is we refused to believe the voters when they trashed the economy (inflation) and then linked that to the migrants problem because DJT told them so. Yes it's a bunch of disinformation but if people are voting based on that disinformation, then you've failed to properly change their minds.

We've known for over a year that "Bidenomics" has been largely rejected by the populace, but Dems never disowned it. We insisted that the U.S. economy is the envy of the world (which it is), but that doesn't matter when Joe voter thinks he can't afford stuff.

Yes, but as Carville famously said, "It's the economy, stupid."
The economy is good and is the best in the world. How else could you sell 100k watches ?

Their main complaint is things cost more vs before Covid. Even inflation is back to pre Covid levels

That same America blamed Biden for inflation when he didn’t cause it

That shows they are stupid

I'm from Australia and I'm curious as to the actual reasons for this loss?

It certainly wasn't "because she is a woman"

Consider the following:
  • She entered the race late
  • She entered the race almost like a coop. This hasn't happened before - someone can tell me whenever it last happened. No one voted for her in the Democrat primary.
  • The last time she was in a primary, she was one of the bottom-most candidates.
  • She had no policy.
  • She had gaff after gaff after gaff.
  • Her policy amounted to "I'm not Trump". Trump is nazi. We have never heard this before, so it was smashingly successful.

That's just penciling off quick one-liners. Do a 5 minute thought process and you can come up with a laundry list.

Inflation is back to the level before Covid. Prices going down to recover from Covid would be deflation and that was not going to happen in the short term

What is Trumps healthcare policy? Also Trump attempted a coup so that can’t be an issue

America's racist as hell, that's no big surprise. People voted for Jeffery Epstein's BFF who was likely just as big a monster as him over Kamala. Because she's a female and looks like someone the people would deport. I guess a rapist felon is a better choice than a brown woman.

Obviously.

The point being is that while 2.5% inflation on top of the already accumulated 30%+ inflation is much more desired, that doesn't mean wages were adjusted to account for that. That doesn't mean people's grocery bills adjusted. That doesn't mean people's credit card bills adjusted to help them out.

Imagine if the bussing of migrants to Philly, Detroit, NYC, DC, the assassin attempt, RFK Jr's run for president, turkey trying to coarse Adams to become corrupt(according to the public court document Adams started becoming corrupt in 2019ish), was infact a re-election campaign ploy that Trump had planned all along.

Yes of course. That's however disconnected from the reality of the consumer. You tell someone "we solved inflation" and that "it's gone down". They'll go to the store and see that prices are still the same, and for them you haven't "solved" anything. Yay for prices going up slowly again.

We get it. Republicans are racist and sexist still. (Oh wait, who freed the slaves and allowed women to vote?)

Even though both the candidates just elected are married to minorities.

Even though I myself am married to a minority immigrant.

Don't worry buddy, your message will succeed one of these days ol' champ. Keep your chin up. You got this. Stay strong, no matter how wrong. /brofist.

You think banning black people from public accommodations isn’t racist so you are hardly a judge.

But don't worry - because YOU have it all correct.

All of your thoughts are the correct ones.

All of your policies are the only ones that can succeed.

For you know what is best for everyone.

But hey, since you're talking about war - how many were started under Trumps last go-around?

The same amount
Wow. I am pretty new to this P&N forum and I wondered where all the trumpers were. They were apparently lying dormant.

They went to their safe space bubbles.

When prices don’t go down (because they never do unless there is an economic crises), I’m sure they won’t be wondering why.
